Celebrate Latin Culture with Carnaval Miami 2018

Miami is known for its vibrant Hispanic culture and Carnaval Miami 2018 is a perfect opportunity to experience this heritage. As the largest Hispanic festival in the country, Calle 8 offers 20 blocks and 12 stages of excitement.

Calle Ocho: Arts, Fashion, Food, and Music Carnaval Miami - Calle Ocho 2018

The real star of Calle Ocho is the music. You can watch world-renowned performers this year such as Cuban artist Willy Chirino, Grammy winner Aymee Nuviola, and dozens of international acts.

Get ready to shop because this festival is filled with folkloric artwork and unique handcrafted goods.

As you wander the streets browsing art and absorbing the culture, you can enjoy international dishes and samples. Lovers of Cuban food won't want to miss the Cuban Sandwich Smackdown competition or the El Croquetazo sandwich eating contest.

Kiwanis of Little Havana

The local Kiwanis Club powers this event and the proceeds go to a good cause: the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation.

This festival has raised roughly $40 million dollars over the past 35 years to benefit the lives of children through school supplies, scholarships, and helping with unexpected family emergencies.

Running Now Through June 16th

This annual Miami Latin street festival is a free event running now until mid-June. Some vendors serve alcohol but the festival itself is an excellent family activity.

If you're interested in visiting the area for this event, the Hilton Miami Downtown is in a convenient location. We're a downtown Miami hotel so you can soak up the sun or enjoy some cocktails when you're not strolling through the festival.
