The rodeo and Rodeo Days events will take place from January 19-21, 2018 at Doc DeMilly Rodeo Arena at Harris Field. Here’s all the information you need to attend.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance. Adult admission is $14.99, and admission for children is $4.99.

What to Expect

This is an event that brings a time-honored Western sport to southern Florida. You’ll see all the country flair, cowboy hats, and festive atmosphere you’d expect surrounding pro bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and more.

Fun Events

Rodeo Days will help kick off the competition, including Family Night on Wednesday, January 17 at Sally Woods Harris Field Pavilion. This free event will include the Homestead Rodeo Queen coronation, line dancing, a charity raffle, and lots of food.

Then, on Thursday, January 18, come to the arena for the Mechanical Bull Buck Off Competition and Rodeo Bingo, which will benefit three different charities.

Don’t forget to check out the Rodeo Parade on Saturday, January 20. This free event will happen in downtown Homestead at 10 a.m. with a theme: My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys.

This event was established over 40 years ago by the Miami Design Preservation League to preserve the gorgeous art deco buildings that line the streets of Miami’s famed South Beach.

To raise money and awareness, the League started this event that brings art deco aficionados from all over the country.   

1. Where to Go and When

The fun takes place from January 12-14, 2018 on Ocean Drive Between 6th and 13th Streets.

  • Friday, January 12: 12PM to 10PM
  • Saturday, January 13: 10AM to 10PM
  • Sunday, January 14: 10AM to 8PM

2. Have Fun at the Festival

In addition to exploring the beautiful buildings, the event will include live music, a dog show, a classic car show, and a fashion show. You’ll also get to enjoy fantasy theater performances.

3. The Miami Design Preservation League

If you would like to do more than simply be an observer at the event, there are many ways you can help the Preservation League.

You can become a sponsor of the event or a vendor. You can also volunteer before, during, or after the event. Another option: a monetary donation.

About the 2017 Orange Bowl

Since 1935, the Orange Bowl has been played every year, but it wasn’t until 1939 that this game was declared a major bowl game for university teams. The game is played each year at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

This year, the game will be played on December 30, 2017 at 8 pm Eastern time. Whether you’re sporting green and orange for Miami University or red and white for the University of Wisconsin, this game will be one for the history books.
